Y-capacitors are capacitors (L-E, N-E) connected between the two lines of the power supply line and the ground line respectively, usually in pairs. Based on the limitation of leakage current, the value of Y capacitor should not be too large. Generally, X capacitor is uF level and Y capacitor is nF level. x capacitor can suppress differential mode interference and Y capacitor can suppress common mode interference.
